The international
airport Arad has the advantage of a high level of acces. It is located 4km west
from the centre and 30 km distance from the border with Hungary. There are

ABOUT ARAD
Arad is the capital of Arad County, in western Romania,
in the historical region of Crişana. According to the 2002 census, the municipality
of Arad was home to 172,827 inhabitants. Arad is located on western part of
Occidental Carpathians. Crossed from east to west by the Mures River, it
contains inside its area, around Padurice, a natural lack.
TOURISM
Arad has a rich
cultural historical patrimony; it offers to its guests a real museum in the
open air of architectural styles characteristic to the 18th, 19th and 20th
century, of art and historic monuments, theatre shows, concerts, exhibitions of
arts, exhibitions of history, art, natural sciences, festivals and holidays.
The lovers of architecture can admire buildings in baroque, renascence,
classic, neo-gothic style; the most famous monuments of architecture are: the
Administrative Palace, the Neumann Palace, the Cenad Palace, the Palace of
Justice.
